A thankful heart ...

Thank you Lord for giving me the strength and wisdom to get through this day.

Thank you Lord for providing the food to nourish myself and my children.

Thank you Lord for a warm home to protect us from the cold outside.

Thank you Lord for your love.

Thank you Lord for protecting my children and guiding their decisions today.

Thank you Lord for the numerous blessings that I constantly fail to recognize.

Holy Week

During Holy Week there is so much to be mindful and thankful for.

There is of course the obvious ...

for our saviour Jesus Christ, His sacrifice on the cross, His resurrection and

ascension to Heaven, His constant showering of blessings ...

and of course the less than obvious ...

family traditions (coloring Easter Eggs),

family meals,

early flowers,

buds on the trees,

Gratitude and Blessings

I read that the Australian aboriginals say thank-you at the beginning of the day for the blessings they have yet to receive ...

I'm a little late for that as it is 2o minutes after 9 in the evening ... but I will say this...

Thank-you for a warm and comfortable bed, thank-you for the roof over my head, thank-you for a puppy to snuggle up with ... and thank-you for a restful and full nights sleep ...

wow it has been a long time...

so much for my pledge.

Today I am thankful for a warm house, a heater that works, and the sun that is shining (even if it is -35 Celsius with the windchill).

December 1st 2010 -

Okay so it's been awhile ... sorry about that.

Thankfulness and gratitude, sometimes I feel I am lacking on both fronts.

I must say however that I am trying to learn how to have a thankful mind and heart. It seems that life gets away with me and I don't take the time to count my blessings ... kind of like taking time to smell the roses as well.

My pledge to write about things that I am thankful for has gone out the window, however I will start anew.

I must train myself ... the more I do it, the more it will become habit and the more it will become 2nd nature. That is my ultimate goal ... to make gratitude and thankfulness such an intricate part of my life that it isn't even a thought it is instinct.

That being said.

I am thankful that I now have a new house to move into.

I am thankful that I have such wonderful people in my life who have offered to help me move yet again.

I am so blessed, I have a great job, wonderful kids, a van that gets me where I need to go ...

I am so thankful for Kersley Musical Theatre and what they do for the community and my family.

My 3 oldest children auditioned today for this year's production "The Music Man".

I am so excited about what this season will provide my kids. This group is such an awesome influence on everybody that is involved in it.

Thank you so much KMT for all you offer us!
